My name is Jihee Kim, and I’m the CEO and founder of The Grove. I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and my hairstyling career began in the United States where I trained with some of the industry’s best creative cutting directors. These experiences shaped my skills and passion for hairstyling, and gave me a deep sense of professionalism in my craft.

After returning to Seoul, I worked as a hairstylist for high-fashion magazines. This one-of-a-kind experience allowed me to service my clients integrating the artistic essence of contemporary fashion and the technical precision in hairstyling.

Eager to explore more, I moved to the Middle East—a melting pot of international community —and worked as a hairstylist at the region’s largest salon as a Creative Cutting Director. After this journey I decided to become a freelancer which gave me the freedom to balance my career and personal life, while working with a selective clientele.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of training, mentoring, and directing hairstylists around the world. I wanted to provide more opportunities for people in my industry to grow and achieve success. For that, here I am in Barcelona.
